Training for a day in the life of St Luke’s-in-the-High-Street

Have you ever felt like you really connect with people in the name of God’s church, other than when you’re in church? How would you like to experience something of what we do at the Farmers’ Market each Sunday?

Doing the Big Ideas of Service, Mission, Engaging with others, and Giving something back to the local community makes those who volunteer on the St Luke’s Stall in the Farmers’ Market feel like they’re doing something very worthwhile.

So, if you haven’t been on the Stall before, or if you’re a regular volunteer with us, what about learning some more about why we’re there, and how we can get better at what we do?

So, what will you learn on the day?

  • The ethos of St. Luke’s, and the history of the Stall
  • The practicalities of setting the Stall up, and packing it down
  • What’s involved in volunteering on the Stall, and how we make it happen on the day
  • When: Saturday, 7 February 2009 Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm
  • Where: St Luke’s church, Greenleaf Rd.
  • Refreshments provided.

You don’t need to bring anything, just yourselves and an adventurous heart. We want YOU to be there! For further info contact Revd Tony Cant,  email tonyc@walthamstowchurch.org.uk
